The NPC and the CPPCC, known as the "two sessions", are not only of great significance in China's political calendar, but also closely watched internationally. China’s democracy is a true people’s democracy. Whether a model of democracy works should be judged by the people. Addressing poverty and ensuring that the people live a productive life concern a country’s biggest national and public interests.
